Barcaldine House & Self-Catering Cottages are set in the grounds of historic Barcaldine House, an elegant Scottish country house mansion dating back to 1709. Nestled in mature grounds and gardens the House boasts 8 sumptious bedrooms and 6 spacious and extremely comfortable self-catering cottages.

Barcaldine House is the perfect venue for that very special day and is available for exclusive Weddings only. The House has 3 areas registered for marriage purposes, our elegant drawing room and two areas within our stunning fairytale grounds. For your special day we will assist in the organisation of every aspect of your wedding plan from menus to drinks packages, to the arranging of all other services that you would require, such as photography, car hire, beauty therapist and hairdresser, florist, piper, quartets as well as many other services that you may well be looking for.

We only operate with the most professional companies so you can be assured of first class service and standards. Our cuisine would be fine tuned to your own personal requirements and we only use the finest local produce. We would invite you prior to your event to come and dine in Chefs kitchen and watch him prepare your gourmet meal – the ultimate dining experience!

Barcaldine House is the most romantic fairytale and idyllic venue for your special day. Within walking distance to Loch Creran, Barcaldine House is ideally located in a peaceful, tranquil setting on the edge of the Barcaldine Forest, yet only 10 miles from Oban, Argyll’s principal town and ferry port from which there are numerous cruises to the Islands.
