Notley Abbey combines the best of the old and the new. Dine on the latest cuisine – tailor-cooked to your requirements, of course – in the beautifully restored 12th century monks’ refectory. Your timeless ceremony can be held in the 16th century Abbott’s Hall, all broadcast on the internet for your absent friends to watch, live.

If you choose to have a civil ceremony, Notley Abbey also provides you with the option to have a truly breathtaking outdoor ceremony. The stunning grounds provide a perfect backdrop to a wonderfully romantic wedding experience.

After the ceremony, drinks and canapés will be served to your guests in the gardens or in one of the Abbey’s stylish and contemporary reception rooms. Your three-course wedding banquet will be followed by coffee and chocolate truffles before the evening’s entertainments.

You may like to lead the dancing to our own in-house DJ or your own choice of live band, either of which can be located in the Abbott’s Hall or the Monk’s Refectory as you wish. Your guests will have the choice to join in the dancing, relax in comfort in the Library, or simply stroll through the grounds. All the while an evening buffet will be served and fully stocked bar available.

When the day is over and your guests are leaving, you and your closest friends and family will have the pleasure of retiring to your luxurious rooms within the Abbey itself.

When you awake, you will be greeted with a delicious breakfast – which you will need to gather the strength to say goodbye to this truly incredible venue."
