About Le Talbooth Restaurant

Le Talbooth restaurant and Maison Talbooth hotel are both idyllically placed in the heart of the Dedham Vale on the north Essex/Suffolk border.

We can offer brides and their families a variety of options from a small wedding breakfast in the Weavers room, a larger party in the River Room restaurant to our marquee (set beside the River Stour) which can hold up to 160 guests. Le Talbooth is a 16th century beamed building which was formerly ‘the tollbooth’ for river traffic!

Our hotel Maison Talbooth is a unique 12 bed roomed hotel which is currently undergoing an extensive reinvestment. From May 2008 it will boast 3 fabulous new suites, a garden room for dining, a tennis court, swimming pool with outside dining facilities and barbecue stoop plus a day spa with 3 superb treatment rooms. With all these facilities the hotel lends itself perfectly to exclusive use House Parties allowing family and friends to take over the hotel for a couple of days.
