About Gate Street Barn

This idyllic barn wedding venue 5 miles south of Guildford, Surrey offers a refreshing and rural setting for weddings. This venue boasts beautiful landscaped gardens and views of the working organic farm. Gate Street Barn is built in the traditional style using wood from oak trees lost on the farm in the 1987 hurricane.

In 2007 Gate Street Barn underwent extensive refurbishment and now features a beautiful Bride’s Room, a meeting room, new ladies loos, disabled and baby changing facilities and second Green Oak Barn reception area known as The Granary, complete with a traditional Norwegian wood-burning stove. During February 2008 The Pheasantry has had a new black indian sandstone floor and a wood-burning stove installed.

A popular choice for summer weddings, the barns have central heating making them perfect for winter weddings too! The open-fronted barn creates an elegant backdrop for a drinks reception and photographs.

Gate Street Barn is licensed for Civil Ceremonies/Civil Partnerships, but can also assist in arranging Church Weddings and Blessings with the C of E Vicar being happy to meet couples at the venue.

The barns can also caterer for Dinner Dances, Lunches and Corporate Events. Up to 130 guests can dine in the barn, with an optional marquee extension being used for up to 150 guests and up to 180 guests can be accommodated for an evening reception.
