Lord Revelstoke converted the original building, which was constructed in the 16th Century, into a beautiful town house with many splendid features. These include a superb marble staircase and a charming courtyard.
This venue is licensed for Civil Ceremonies for up to 100 guests in the Churchill Room. The Churchill Room features Louis XIV walnut panelling and overlooks the Courtyard. It is a fabulous setting for a dinner dance with its wooden floor and crystal chandelier. The Wedgwood Room, named after the pale blue panelling and detailed plasterwork, is an lovely setting for romantic and traditional photographs and for meeting with the registrar.
The Revelstoke Room, has French windows on to the Courtyard and double doors linking to the Wedgwood Room. The rich colours generate a warm, luxurious atmosphere.
The Courtyard is one of the most enchanting features of Dartmouth House. The fountain, architectural style and wrought iron tables and chairs combine to create the impression of a château terrace.
This venue has been the setting for many films including The Golden Bowl and Our Mutual Friend. The Long and Small Drawing Rooms can accommodate up to 140 guests.
