Bradley House is a lovely stately home set in wonderful informal grounds with views over rolling Wiltshire countryside. Built more than 300 years ago and adapted almost 200 years ago to be a family home, it has been owned by the Dukes of Somerset throughout that time.
The house is unique in retaining the warm, welcoming nature of a family home whilst also making a wonderful luxury venue for a country house wedding. It has bedrooms (doubles, twins and family rooms) to sleep 24 adults, a panelled dining room that can seat 24 and sitting rooms complete with squidgy sofas and open log fires. In addition we have “pamper rooms” with-in the house and a heated pool outside.
The house is not an hotel nor is staying here an hotel experience – it is much more relaxed and surprisingly informal. You can choose to self cater, to have a private chef or caterers to cook for you or, as most do, a combination. We have local staff available to help with breakfasts, help you self-cater or just help you doing the things that are not much fun…like washing-up!
We also have “The Coach House” – a converted coach house and Victorian stables situated in a courtyard next to the house – which is available for you to entertain your guests. “The Coach House” comprises a dining room to seat up to 60 people, a room for music and dancing, a bar and the Victorian stables which are used as a very relaxed chill-out area. If you wish to entertain more than 60 guests we have a marquee attached to the “The Coach House” that can seat up to 90 people, up to 150 or up to 180 people.
