About Birkin House

Birkin House is a delightful country house wedding venue in the heart of Hardy Country near the A35 in Dorset. The house is Victorian and has been restored using traditional materials and decorated with authentic colours and furnished with period furniture. After your civil wedding ceremony, your guests may proceed outside for reception drinks on the terrace. In the garden, roses, herbaceous borders, mature trees and natural meadows carpeted with wild flowers create a wonderful backdrop for your wedding photos.

Dining takes place in the elegant Drawing Room with its ornate columns, crystal chandeliers and marble fireplaces. The adjacent Dining Room, with its full-length windows overlooking the gardens, can be used for additional dining.

For larger guest numbers a marquee can be sited on the lawns.

In winter, fires burn in the grates making the atmosphere warm and cosy. Birkin House is a perfect venue for your evening party. As well as music and dancing, there is a full-sized billiard table and bar great for those guests who like to relax after the wedding breakfast.

As well as the complimentary honeymoon suite there are 11 other double en-suite bedrooms for close family and friends. The venue owners are very friendly and extremely supportive and help you to make your dream day special.
