Rachel’s Story

The Proposal

We took a year out to travel. At the end of our travels we did a five day trek to Machu Picchu, Peru. Jon proposed on the final day of our trek as we watched the sunrise over Machu Picchu. He said “is this a good place to ask you to marry me?”

The Outfits

The BrideMaggie Sottero dress. Ivory, gathered in at one side on the waist, silver and beaded flower embroidery.

The Bridesmaids – 1950’s style dresses in sage green and dusky pink.

The Groom and Groomsmen – Grey suits with pink ties.

The Ceremony and Reception Venues

We chose Dodmoor House as we wanted something different which had a relaxed atmosphere and which would allow us to stamp our own mark on our wedding.

The Decorative Touches

The table centre pieces were silver buckets filled with dusky pink roses.

The Cake

Lots of little fairy cakes with dusky pink roses on top.
