Lianne and David, May 2007
Clock Barn

FA Cup Final Day!!

Lianne’s Story

The Proposal

It was the most lovely romantic setting. After 2 and half years together we went on a 2 week trip to Italy – he proposed at sunset overlooking the Tuscan hills, sitting out in the garden of the villa we were staying at.

The Outfits

The Bride – my dress was beautiful classic Suzanne Neville dress.

The Bridesmaids – green pistachio fifties style dresses.

The Groom and Groomsmen – Classic tails.

The Ceremony and Reception Venues

Ceremony – it was my local church, a beautiful Catholic church with stained glass windows. I have known the Priest forever.

Reception – it was the only venue we saw. I married an Australian and we wanted it to be pretty but not stuffy, a stately home wouldn’t reflect us – once we saw Clock Barn, we knew we had found a magical spot and the wonderful thing is that we could choose our own caterers, our own disco, bring our own lovely wines and champagne and have our own unique tailor made special day.

The Decorative Touches

Simple and crisp – chair covers with pistachio sashes and beautiful pink and green flowers on the table.

The Cake

A plain 3 tiered cake with flowers on from Marks and Spencers.

The Transport

We had an old vintage car.

Advice to other couples

Leave enough time to have your hair done…..I felt kind of rushed letting my bridesmaids go first but just enjoy it. I just think enjoy and take it all in.
