Paddy McGuinness has got engaged to his girlfriend, former Miss Liverpool Christine Martin.

The comedian, who currently hosts ITV Saturday evening show Take Me Out, reportedly popped the question to the 21-year-old over Christmas.

Paddy, 36, first got together with Christine in 2008 and friends claim that the pair are "seriously loved-up".

Speaking to the Sun, a source said: "His career is going well and now he's getting married. It's turning out to be a great time."

The comedian first made his name starring alongside Peter Kaye in Phoenix Nights.

Now, Paddy presents the popular new entertainment show, which seems him try to find a date for 30 single women.

Recently, newly-engaged Sugababe Heidi Range revealed that she wants her band mate Amelle Berrabah to sing when she ties the knot with her TV presenter fiance Dave Berry.
