Any brides-to-be who still have not yet found their perfect dress may be interested to learn about an auction that is taking place.
The GL1 leisure centre in Gloucester will be holding a wedding show on January 4th and excited fiancées will have the chance to bid on a dozen beautiful gowns.
According to The Forester, the dresses are being provided by insurer Ecclesiastical after being received through recent wedding insurance claims.
Although slightly damaged they are almost new and may offer brides on a budget the chance to pick up a real bargain.
Wedding insurance manager at Ecclesiastical, Darren Mabley-Jones, said: "These dresses were part of a wedding disaster, but hopefully now they can be part of a much happier day."
It seems as though one blushing bride couldn't afford her own wedding dress as a gown worth £2,500 was stolen from Natalia Misslin Designs in Scotland, the Scotsman reported yesterday.
