Couples 'being more adventurous' with wedding venues

Couples 'being more adventurous' with wedding venues Instead of churches, couples are starting to become a little more adventurous with their wedding venues, it has been claimed.

Speaking to the Victoria Advocate at Victoria Pilot Club's 20th annual Bridal Show, Raisin L Ranch employee Lynette Migl said that people are becoming increasingly eager to do "their own thing".

Bride-to-be Jennifer Saenz agreed, as she thinks that non-traditional venues, such as sustainable barns or sprawling country houses, offer more freedom.

They often allow couples to be more flexible when it comes to picking a time and date for their ceremony, she added.

Earlier this week, House of Commons speaker John Bercow said he is "very confident" that a licence for gay marriages at the Palace of Westminster will be approved by the City Council in the near future.

He added that the first civil ceremony could take place before the predicted general election date of May.
