A winter wedding could be the perfect way to tie the knot for many couples, especially if they get that
magical dusting of snow for the occasion.
However, one bride and groom feared that the chilly weather could prevent them from tying the knot recently.
Karen Rawlins and Jonathan Lee almost called off their ceremony in Kent at the weekend as the heavy snowfall mean they could not reach the 900-year-old Dode Church near Meopham that they had booked for the event.
Luckily, a radio appeal resulted in local people offering to
transport the 45 guests to the venue using their 4x4 vehicles.
Karen's sister Tracey Spellman told the Daily Mail: "We got plenty of people bringing their four wheel drives up to us. They've all been amazing."
Couples who arrange a winter wedding may be looking forward to a honeymoon somewhere hot and Gara Gharagozlou, director of Ultimate Safari and Islands, recently suggested Mozambique.
