One generous woman has decided to donate her wedding dress to an auction in order to raise money for charity.
Vicky Taylor, the wife of Truro MP Matthew Taylor, will see brides-to-be bid on her Jenny Packham gown with the hope of generating funds for Cornwall's Women's Domestic Violence Support Network, This is the West Country reports.
The Glitz and Glamour auction will take place at Claremont Hall in Newquay this Saturday and Mrs Taylor said that deciding to donate her gown was an easy decision.
"My thoughts immediately went to my wedding dress - it is special to me and I hope it can now help the network and be just as special to someone again," she explained.
Mrs Taylor added that she is "absolutely delighted" to help the charity, which provides support to women in abusive relationships.
She has not been the only charitable bride of late, as Teanne Harris treated senior citizens at a retirement home to an afternoon of dinner and dancing when her nuptials fell through, Nina Callaway reported on her About.com wedding blog.
