As winter approaches, any brides planning to tie the knot over the coming months will no doubt be looking for stylish ways to wrap up warm and keep out the cold as they walk down the aisle.

One way in which they could do this may be to take inspiration from the dress worn by Ivanka Trump at her recent wedding.

According to Cathy Horyn's On The Runway blog for the New York Times, the bride wore a gown by designer Vera Wang.

However, it was slightly unusual as it featured custom-made lace sleeves, as Ivanka's new husband Jared Kushner is Orthodox and she has only recently converted.

"She was actually very much about being covered and I seized on the chance to do a dress that wasn't naked and very Hollywood," the news provider quotes Vera Wang as saying.

She added that it can become "tiring" making so many strapless gowns.

Ivanka, who is the daughter of business tycoon Donald Trump, and Jared married last weekend at the National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
