According to AmericanBridal.com, people should consider buying their wedding favours closer to Christmas as it is likely that they will be able to pick up some bargains in the sales.

Couples should also make sure that if they are giving their guests presents such as sweets or chocolate they do not purchase them too early as the product could go off.

Instead they may wish to purchase the containers in advance and then fill them with treats closer to the big day.
