The obsession with celebrities which many women are perceived to harbour means that some are now looking to Hollywood when it comes to finding the perfect wedding dress, it has been claimed.

Speaking to Beaumont Enterprise, Amanda Sheronas, director of public relations with Florida and Fort Washington, Alfred Angelo Bridal said that brides are becoming savvier and more comfortable with their bodies.

Wedding dress designs are beginning to reflect this and many are taking inspiration from the red carpet, she adds.

Ms Sheronas said: "Celebs and the red carpet have become so prevalent in the last ten years. That's started to translate to some of our wedding dresses."

However, she did add that "when a bride goes to choose a gown, it's very much a reflection of her personality, not just her style".
