It does not look as though Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens will be swapping the school bell for wedding bells any time soon, as rumours that they are to tie the knot have been denied.

The National Enquirer recently claimed that the pair are planning to marry in Malibu this summer, with Efron paying for the whole affair.

However, a source close to the couple has stated that this is not the case and they have no plans to wed.

The publication also suggested that Hudgens' parents do not want her to marry Efron as they think the couple are too young.

After both appearing in the hugely popular High School Musical films, the pair started dating in 2007.

Another screen star who has no plans to marry is Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan, although she did tell DS that she would like her character to tie the knot so that she could film a soap wedding.
