When couples are organising their wedding, the date they walk down the aisle is likely to be one that remains etched on their minds forever.
However, some men do have a tendency to forget their anniversary when the date arrives each year, even if they remember the occasion as if it were yesterday.
One way in which couples could ensure the event never slips from their minds no matter how many decades they have been married is to pick a 'lucky' wedding date.
Writing on her About.com blog, Nina Callaway points out that over the next two years, there are a few days that may be extra special.
Couples could get married on Sunday October 10th 2010 (10/10/10), Saturday December 11th 2010 (12/11/10) or, if they want to wait a little longer, Saturday January 1st 2011 (1/1/11) and Saturday November 11th 2011 (11/11/11) could also be options.
"And if your future spouse remembers your anniversary easily, I'd call that lucky," Ms Callaway adds.
Last year, many brides and grooms elected to walk down the aisle on Wednesday September 9th 2009 (9/9/09).
