Homemade wedding invitations 'save money'

Homemade wedding invitations 'save money' By making their own wedding invitations couples can save money on their big day.

This is according to money saving expert Martin Lewis, who told the Mirror that people need to adopt a mantra when going through the to-do list for their big day.

He said that couples should consider each item and think about whether it will be used and if there are cheaper alternatives available.

Mr Lewis explained that big savings can be made on printing costs if couples make invitations, menus, place cards and order of service notes themselves.

Similarly, he said that newlyweds can thank their guests for attending their nuptials by sending them a copy of their favourite photo from the day and writing a note on the back.

Earlier this week, the Times advised that people who do feel like splashing out on their big day could exchange their vows on the London Eye with beautiful city views of the capital behind them.
